Zyska: Poland may not achieve the 2020 RES target

According to the deputy minister of climate and the government plenipotentiary for renewable energy sources, Ireneausz Zyska, Poland will probably not achieve the assumed target of the share of renewable energy sources in the total gross energy consumption of 15% this year. The RES share expected by the ministry may amount to approximately 13-14%. The deputy minister believes that the European Commission will not impose sanctions on Poland for this reason, because we are taking actions that are positively assessed by them. Achieving the 15% target should be possible in 2021.
