During the session of the Sejm, a motion was submitted to reject the draft amendment to the act on electromobility and alternative fuels. Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Ireneusz Zyska emphasized that the project’s task is to support the development of electromobility and alternative fuels infrastructure, which is to encourage consumers to buy vehicles powered by these fuels. The new solutions are to accelerate the development of electromobility in Poland.
One of the most important solutions included in the project is the regulation of the procedure related to the installation of energy consumption points in multi-family buildings. According to the justification, the regulations will facilitate the installation of electric car charging points, thanks to which people interested in purchasing this type of vehicle will be able to charge it at home.
As assessed by the designers, this type of charging model is the most advantageous solution, because it is most often carried out at night, when the vehicle is not in use, and the power consumption is lower than during the day, which stabilizes the operation of the power grid.
