Meeting the demand for electricity for the years 2023-2032

The Energy Regulatory Office has published a communication in which it informs that Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (PSE) is conducting consultations on the draft Development Plan to meet the current and future electricity demand for 2023-2032.

The consulted document covers the transmission grid investments planned by PSE. The investments presented in the Plan are intended to support: obejmuje planowane przez PSE inwestycje w sieci przesyłowe. Prezentowane w Planie inwestycje mają na celu wsparcie:

  • the obligations of the Republic of Poland to achieve the national target for the share of energy from renewable sources in final energy consumption,
  • the government plan to build offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea,
  • government plan to build nuclear power,
  • connections of new generating units in accordance with the results of the capacity market auctions for the years 2023-26,
  • improvement of supply conditions, including minimization of grid constraints in the entire system – in particular in the context of the planned construction of renewable (wind) sources in northern Poland, both at sea and on land.
