According to the session quotes on the Polish Power Exchange, the prices of green certificates have recently increased significantly. In transactions made in June, the average price was almost PLN 20 higher than at the beginning of this year. A few days ago, the quoted price of certificates exceeded PLN 173 / MWh.
In January 2021, the average price of green certificates in session trading was PLN 142.28 / MWh and was lower than last month’s price by PLN 19.63 / MWh. In May, the average price of this PMOZE_A instrument increased month to month by PLN 4.99 / MWh to 153.96 PLN / MWh, and in April – by PLN 1.41 to the level of PLN 148.97 / MWh.
In June, the volume-weighted average price for this instrument amounted to PLN 161.91 / MWh, which means an increase by PLN 7.95 / MWh compared to the average price in May. In addition, the volume of trading in property rights for electricity generated in RES amounted to 2,484,563 MWh in the previous month. This means that compared to the same month last year, it increased by 1.7%.
