On February 24, 2020, a draft regulation of the Minister of State Assets amending the regulation on the maximum amount and value of electricity from high-efficiency cogeneration covered by support and unitary amounts of the guaranteed bonus in 2019 and 2020 appeared on the Government Center for Legislation.

The proposal to amend the regulation results from the fact that as a result of the auction for the cogeneration premium and recruitment for the individual cogeneration premium, the entire volume of electricity from high-efficiency cogeneration, which was provided for in the regulation, was not contracted.

Pursuant to the regulation, the maximum amount of electricity from high-efficiency cogeneration, the sale of which may be subject to the cogeneration premium in 2020 will increase from 24 TWh to 26.3TWh, and the value from PLN 4.148 billion to PLN 4.863 billion.

However, the maximum amount of electricity from high-efficiency cogeneration, whose sales can be covered by the individual cogeneration premium, increased from 36 TWh to 72 TWh, and the value from PLN 4.355 billion to PLN 8.652 billion.

Consultations regarding the project will last until February 28, 2020.
