The President of the Energy Regulatory Office announced an auction for new and significantly modernized cogeneration units with a capacity of 1 to 50 MW, which received decisions on admission to participate in it. The opening of the ACHP / 1/2021 auction will take place on June 22 at 8:15 AM and will close on June 24 at 4:15 PM. Pursuant to the rules of the auction, it will be conducted in writing, in paper form.
18 TWh of electricity will be offered in the auction. This is all energy provided for in the regulation of the Minister of Climate and Environment for sale in 2021. The value of the cogeneration bonus is over PLN 2 billion.
The auction announcement can be found on the website of the Public Information Bulletin of the ERO. On its website, the Office published bid forms along with a guide on how to properly complete the bid for the auction. It also contains important information for auction participants.
Each of the investors may submit more than one offer, as long as they concern different cogeneration units. The auction is won by the participants who offer the lowest amount of cogeneration bonus (i.e. a surcharge to the electricity sold from high-efficiency cogeneration) and whose bids in total do not exceed 100% of the value or amount of electricity specified in the auction announcement and 80% of the amount of electricity covered by all submitted bid.
Information on the results of the auction will be announced by the President of ERO on the website of the Office immediately after its settlement.
