The Renewable Energy Association, together with the Lewiatan Confederation, prepared a position concerning the main barriers, which are currently faced by entities implementing RES projects and which may adversely affect further sustainable growth of installed capacity, were identified, namely the lack of regulations enabling efficient connection of installations to the grid and the lengthy procedures for granting licences for power generation, which consequently poses a real risk that the winners of the 2018 RES auction will not fulfil their obligation to sell energy generated in the RES installation for the first time by a specified date from the closing of the auction session, especially concerning photovoltaic installations which have to meet this obligation by 15 May 2020.
