On January 17, 2018, a vote was held in the European Parliament, in which the majority voted in favor of increasing the RES target in the 2030 perspective up to 35%. This is a more ambitious target than the EU Council of Energy 27 % proposed at the Council of the European Union meeting in December 2017, and the European Commission’s proposal, which in November 2017 set the target of 30%.
