In the changes to regulations concerning wind farms prepared by the Ministry of Development, Labor and Technology, the so-called rule of 10H will be held – Deputy Minister Anna Kornecka told PAP.

As she emphasized, at the same time, municipalities interested in investing in wind energy will be able to provide for the construction of new turbines in their local plans according to new rules, with reduced distances. This will be accompanied by additional obligations in the field of consultation of municipal residents and requirements for the organization of public discussions.

We would like the draft to be included in the government’s work list as soon as possible, to be later adopted by the Council of Ministers, and by the end of the first half of the year, it could be submitted to the Sejm – added Kornecka.

The regulations will establish the minimum statutory distance between the wind turbine and buildings. As the deputy minister explained, at the moment, taking into account European legislation, it is proposed for a minimum of 500 m. However, this distance may be increased during consultations.
