The EC calls on Poland to fully implement the provisions on the internal electricity market.

According to the website Wysokienapiecie.pl, the European Commission has decided to send a letter of formal notice regarding the implementation of the EU directive on the internal electricity market, the Commission informed.

It is about Directive (EU) 2019/944 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 June 2019 on common rules for the internal market in electricity and amending Directive 2012/27 / EU.

The call was also sent to Belgium and the Czech Republic. Spain, Ireland and Lithuania. Following the letter of formal notice, six Member States now have two months to notify the Commission of their transposition measures ensuring full implementation of EU law. Otherwise, if there is no satisfactory reply, the Commission may decide to send a reasoned opinion.
