Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Development Jadwiga Emilewicz announced that she would strive to continue the subsidy program for investments in home photovoltaic installations. At the end of H1 2020, we already had 262,000 jobs in Poland. prosumer installations, of which over 170,000 were built only in the first half of this year – points out Jadwiga Emilewicz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Development.
The Ministry of Development is currently working on introducing the concept of the so-called collective prosumer, including housing cooperatives and communities that decide to invest in their own energy sources. In the current legal status, housing cooperatives or communities may become prosumers, using the generated energy only to supply common parts, and introduce unused surpluses to the grid and settle them in the discount system. New opportunities in this regard are to be developed by the inter-ministerial team for prosumers, headed by the minister of development.
We are preparing a solution for a collective prosumer. We want to be ready with this solution by the end of this year, as housing cooperatives and communities are waiting for this solution. We are in dialogue with distribution network operators (…) We will try to ensure that the solutions we have prepared as part of the inter-ministerial team for supporting investments in renewable energy sources appear in the amendment, which is included in the government’s list – emphasizes Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Development Jadwiga Emilewicz.
