From July 1, 2021 to December 20, 2021, you will be able to apply for subsidies under the My Electricity program, but these are not a certain time frame. As the Minister of Climate and Environment stated, Poland is currently experiencing a real photovoltaic boom, so the funds from the program can be used earlier. Co-financing will also go to natural persons who incurred expenses related to the purchase of the installation from February 1, 2021, i.e. before the start of the third edition.
The information provided by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management shows that the aim of the new edition of the program is not only to increase the amount of electricity from photovoltaic micro-installations, but also to increase self-consumption, i.e. the use of energy generated by the panels on an ongoing basis. This is due to the fact that the surplus electricity transferred to the grid may pose a problem for the stability of the energy distribution system in Poland. To increase self-consumption, they can be used, inter alia, electric car chargers, home electricity management systems, and energy storage.
