On January 21, 2021, the President of the Republic of Poland signed the Act of December 17, 2020 on promoting electricity generation in offshore wind farms.
The act is to enter into force after 14 days from the date of its announcement, with the exception of the provisions introducing an authorization for the Council of Ministers to reduce, by way of regulation, the parameters of the auction, in terms of the maximum installed electricity capacity of offshore wind farms, in the event of a threat to the security of the functioning of the national energy system which will enter into force on 1 January 2024.
