On Thursday, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management and the National Center for Research and Development signed an agreement on cooperation in the creation, and then implementation and commercialization of green technologies. The agreement provides, inter alia, co-financing of scientific research, development and implementation works.

Thanks to the signing of an agreement between these authorities, it will be possible to undertake joint actions to implement the idea of Organization of Innovation. These are structural and organizational solutions supporting Polish scientists and entrepreneurs in the process of research and implementation of innovative projects in the areas of the greatest economic challenges.

The ideas will be verified and presented by the NCBR, and then implemented and commercialized in the programs of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. The signing of the agreement is aimed at taking joint actions aimed at increasing the efficiency of resource management, the development of pro-ecological and environmental technologies and the transformation towards a low-emission and climate-neutral economy.

NCBR, as a result of a dialogue with the market and experts, as well as based on its own analyzes, will identify specific green technologies. The obtained data will be used to create a technical specification of a given technology, which will include the minimum requirements and expected innovations. This information will constitute a substantive contribution to the priority programs developed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.

The signing of an agreement between these authorities gives the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management an influence on the activities undertaken by the NCBR and enables the creation of further support instruments aimed at specific green solutions. As a result, the range of technologies created on the initiative of the National Center for Research and Development or technologies from a similar area will be increased, as well as it will help to provide financing for the implementation of such technologies to potential recipients.
