Currently, the Ministry of Energy is to be at the stage of analysis of comments submitted to „PEP 2040” during the consultation. The ministry was to receive a total of about 1. 8 thousand comments.
As Minister Tchórzewski said yesterday in the Sejm, the possible date of adoption of „PEP 2040” by the Council of Ministers is the coming summer. Among the remarks that ME is to take into account in the final version of the document, there are to be remarks related to the greater emphasis on prosumer energy.
The Ministry does not intend to take into account comments assuming a reduction in the restrictions introduced in 2016 concerning the minimum distance of wind farms from residential buildings and protected areas.
The procedure of the national document „Energy Policy of Poland until 2040” is accompanied by work on another key document containing the assumptions for the development of the Polish energy sector – the „National Energy and Climate Plan for the years 2021-2030” the draft of which was prepared by the Polish government in accordance with the requirements of the new EU energy policy.
Draft plans were to be prepared by the European Union countries by the end of 2018, and after evaluation by the European Commission and possible adjustments, the national plans are to be adopted in final versions by the end of 2019.
As Minister Tchórzewski said yesterday in the Sejm, the possible deadline for the European Commission to formulate comments, after the analysis of individual draft national plans, is June.
