According to gramwzielone.pl, the UK intends to impose a new tax on producers of energy from renewable sources in a situation of extraordinary increase in energy prices recorded in recent months. The British RES sector is alarming that it may be left without funds for new investments.
The UK government has announced the imposition of an extraordinary tax known as the Electricity Generator Levy, which will cover, among others, producers of energy from renewable sources. The tax rate is to be nominally 45%. – however, the British RES sector emphasizes that because the additional fee will be charged before deducting CIT, the real new tax will reach even 70 percent.
