During the meeting of the Committee on Energy, Climate and State Assets, Deputy Minister Ireneusz Zyska announced that the draft amendment to the RES Act on the so-called umbrella projects run by local governments has been pre-prepared.
During the work on the act, representatives of municipalities conducting such investments pointed out that in many cases they will not be completed before the new regulations come into force. After the information on changes in the billing system, many people withdrew their accession to umbrella programs and installation of photovoltaic panels. The municipalities are concerned that the failure to complete these investments will lead to the return of significant European funds received for such projects.
On Tuesday, the Sejm committee did not support the Senate’s motion to reject the entire amendment to the RES Act.
