The Energy Regulatory Office has published a bulletin on investment plans for 2018-2032

In the current issue of the Energy Regulatory Office Bulletin we publish a report on investment plans for 2018-2032 power companies involved in electricity generation. This document was created on the basis of the analysis of questionnaires filled in by 63 energy companies and information on power demand from the transmission system operator. The report refers, among other things, to the assessment of long-term security of electricity supply, in particular the possibility of balancing energy production and demand in the long term.

Over the period 2018-2032, power companies plan to put into operation a total of more than 11. 9 GW of new generation capacity.

According to URE, the largest investments are planned in units based on hard coal (33. 2%), wind (31. 9%) and natural gas (29. 4%).
