During the EuroPower 2021 conference, Ireneusz Zyska, Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment, said that work is currently underway on a law liberalizing the 10H rule. According to the ministry, the principle stemmed from mass protests against onshore wind energy, which is why its liberalization must serve social interests.
As the deputy minister said, the act is subject to public consultations conducted by the Ministry of Development and Technology. The date of liberalization is not known yet, but the ministry is trying to make it happen as soon as possible. This is due to the fact that renewable energy is what will increase the competitiveness of the Polish economy, therefore the government is obliged to develop this sector, including by liberalizing the 10H rule so that it has a real impact on the expansion of capacity in a short time.
