The Ministry of Energy is working on an amendment to the Act on Renewable Energy Sources (RES), which is to enable the RES auction in 2019 and, as a result, enable Poland to achieve the target of 15% share of RES energy in total gross energy consumption in 2020, according to the statements of the Deputy Minister of Energy Grzegorz Tobiszowski.
”This year we will have the second amendment to the Act on RES. After the RES auctions we should have contracted the whole 15% in 2020.’’ I am striving for the amendment of the RES Act in May’’: Tobiszowski told journalists in Katowice.
He emphasized that in the perspective offshore is an important industry not only from the point of view of energy and environment, but also supporting economic development. The Offshore Wind Energy Act is expected to be passed by autumn of this year.
