According to the Rzeczpospolita daily, the first companies want to “take legal steps” against the fee on the margins of energy companies. The fee, which is the basis for freezing energy prices, hurts the representatives of the renewable energy industry the most.
– EDPR is of the opinion that the proposed fee mechanism for the so-called Excess profits is not in line with the EU Council regulation because it ignores the existence of financial safeguards that producers could have used to protect their cash flow, long-term revenues and to eliminate the impact of electricity price volatility on the company’s results. As a result, companies will pay as if they are benefiting from current market prices when they are not, the company argues.
