According to the Polish Power Exchange, the volume of electricity reached a record level of 3.29 TWh in September, with the highest daily volume in history on the market on September 25, 2021, amounting to 151,545.8 MWh.
As for the total volume of gas on the markets, it reached the level of 24.96 TWh, which is the highest value in 2021 and the second highest monthly value in the history of trading.
Compared to September 2020, the volume of electricity trading on TGE in September 2021 increased by over 35%, while the volume-weighted average price on the DAM increased by PLN 82.28 / MWh compared to August and amounted to PLN 465.70 / MWh, becoming thus the highest monthly price in the history of this market.
In the case of natural gas, the recorded transactions represent an increase by 88.2% compared to the previous year, and the average weighted by the volume of trading, the price on the DAM & IDMg in September was PLN 312.28 / MWh, which means an increase by PLN 100.48 / MWh compared to August, as well as the next highest monthly price in the history of this market.
