According to Tomasz Jakubowski, director of PSE, Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne is implementing an investment process in terms of connecting offshore wind farms worth PLN 1.5 billion.
During the National Energy Summit in Gdańsk, the director of PSE stated that Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne have concluded connection agreements for the volume of 8.4 GW of power from offshore wind farms. The power will be transferred to four power stations: Żarnowiec, Słupsk and to two new stations – Choczewo and Krzemienica.
Offshore wind farms have their place of connection and for this reason PSE is carrying out a serious investment process – two new stations and two modernized stations are only part of the critical infrastructure. “There are 250 km of newly built 400 kV lines and 200 km of modernized 400 kV lines in the Pomeranian Voivodeship” – emphasizes Jakubowski.
The investment outlays for the offshore wind farms alone are PLN 1.5 billion on the part of PSE, and for the Pomeranian Voivodeship – PLN 4.5 billion.
According to the director’s information, PSE will meet the deadline of 2026 provided for in the connection agreements.
