On September 27, 2022, the updated version of the draft act amending the act – Energy Law and the act on renewable energy sources (UC 74) was published on the website of the Government Legislation Center.

According to the earlier information, despite the earlier removal of the provisions concerning the direct line from the draft, they were restored to it.

Importantly, the current wording stipulates that the entity with the legal title to use a direct line will be required to pay to the electricity network operator to which the separate energy consumer is connected the charges resulting from the tariffs of the enterprise conducting economic activity in the field of transmission or distribution of electricity in the amount corresponding to the actual amount of electricity consumption from a direct line or from the grid of an energy company conducting business activity in the field of transmission or distribution of electricity to which it is connected.
