On Tuesday, the draft amendment to the so-called special transmission act. The amendment is intended to speed up the procedures, so that the time needed to obtain a decision would be six months.
In addition to the proposal to shorten the time needed to obtain all administrative decisions, the draft modification of the special act mentions the adaptation of the grid to the transmission of electricity from offshore wind farms. Additionally, you can find there a list of investments that would be covered by it, including a submarine cable to Lithuania and the provision that the special act will cover reconstruction, modernization, etc. lines with a voltage of 220 kV or higher.
