On 29 August this year, the law on compensation for energy-intensive industries comes into force. Therefore, energy-intensive entrepreneurs who want to receive compensation for 2019 must, within 14 days (from 29 August 2019), renounce the support offered by the so-called Electricity Pricing Act.
According to the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology, in 2019 entrepreneurs can choose one support system. Either the compensation or the one introduced by the law of 28 December 2018. (amendment to the Excise Duty Act and some other acts), i. e. the so-called Electricity Pricing Act. The purpose of the latter Act was to stabilise energy prices in 2019 at a level not higher than that in force on 30 June 2019.
Entrepreneurs for 2019 will receive compensation in October/November 2020.
