On April 18, 2023, the Council of Ministers adopted a draft act amending the act on the preparation and implementation of strategic investments in the field of transmission networks and certain other acts, submitted by the Minister of Climate and Environment.
According to the explanatory memorandum to the draft, the new regulations are primarily intended to accelerate investments by operators in networks with a rated voltage of 110 kV or higher. According to the proposed regulations, the estimated time needed to obtain a decision on the right to occupy land or carry out appropriate activities on land for network investments may be shortened from over 12 months to about 6 months.
