Ministry of Energy has begun consultations on a draft ordinance of the Council of Ministers regarding the maximum amount and value of electricity from renewable energy sources that may be auctioned in 2020 (RCL no. RD567).
According to the project, support was provided for:
- New installations below 1 MW using wind energy and solar radiation: 7 350 000 MWh, 2 829 750 000 PLN.
- New installations above 1 MW using wind energy and solar radiation: 14 700 000 MWh, 5 365 500 000 PLN
- New installations below 1 MW MW using non-agricultural biogas and biomass, hybrid systems, thermal waste conversion installations, dedicated multi-fuel combustion installations: 375,000 MWh, PLN 166,875,000.
- New installations above 1 MW using non-agricultural biogas, hybrid systems, thermal installations waste treatment, dedicated to multi-fuel combustion installations: 10,950,000 MWh, 5,182,500,000 PLN.
- New installations below 1 MW using hydropower, bioliquids, geothermal energy and offshore wind energy: 540,000 MWh, PLN 270,000,000.
- New installations above 1 MW using bioliquids, hydropower, energy geothermal and offshore wind energy: 1,080,000 MWh, PLN 518 400,000.
- New installations above 1 MW using agricultural biogas and agricultural biogas from high-efficiency cogeneration: 1,800,000 MWh, PLN 1,152,000,000.
- Existing installations above 1 MW using biogas other than agricultural and biomass, hybrid systems, thermal waste conversion installations, dedicated multi-fuel combustion installations: 21,000,000 MWh, PLN 9,870,000,000.
According to the justification attached to the project, in 2020 it is planned to sell electricity generated in new installations, thanks to which it is planned to build installations using:
- solar radiation energy (with a total installed electrical capacity of more than 1 MW) – 1000 MW,
- solar radiation energy (with a total installed electrical capacity of not more than 1 MW) – 500 MW,
- hydropower (with a total installed electrical capacity of more than 1 MW) – 20 MW,
- hydropower (with a total installed electrical capacity of not more than 1 MW) – 10 MW,
- agricultural biogas (with a total installed electrical capacity of not more than 1 MW) – 20 MW,
- biogas obtained from waste landfills and biogas obtained from wastewater treatment plants for electricity production (with a total installed electrical capacity of not more than 1 MW) – a total of 10 MW,
- biomass, in a dedicated biomass combustion installation (with a total installed electrical capacity of more than 1 MW) – 100 MW
In addition, it is also planned to sell the volume of electricity generated in existing dedicated biomass combustion installations with a total installed electrical capacity greater than 1 MW – 300 MW.
According to the Association’s information, the project in question will be subject to verification after reviewing the results of this year’s auctions.
Comments on the project may be submitted until October 18 this year.
