May 15 this year on the website of the Government Legislation Center a draft Regulation of the Minister of Climate was published on technical requirements, connection conditions and cooperation of micro-installations with the power system. Public consultations on the project will last until May 29.
The draft regulation is the implementation of art. 9 item 4a of the Act of 10 April 1997 – Energy Law of the authorization.
In accordance with the guidelines contained in the statutory authorization, when specifying the abovementioned elements, the need to increase the share of electricity from micro-installations of renewable energy prosumers in the country’s energy balance, security and reliable operation of the power system, as well as requirements for the construction and operation of equipment, installations and networks were taken into account.
- The purpose of the Executive Act, in accordance with the statutory authorization, is to specify the technical requirements and the mode of connecting micro-installations to the power grid.
- The recommended solution is to specify the technical requirements at the regulation level for connecting micro-installations and the notification template for micro-installations.
- Removing the identified formal barriers and improving the organization of work during assembly and connection of micro-installations to the network.
The main goal of the regulation is to reduce and simplify the formalities related to connecting micro-installations, and thus to make the investment process more attractive.
