The programme of wind power plants in the Baltic Sea may be worth up to 100 billion zlotys. This is the third largest undertaking of the energy sector in Poland.
On 5 September this year, PKN Orlen and PGE signed a letter of intent on cooperation regarding offshore. Thanks to this undertaking, both companies want to provide themselves with substantive and scientific support, and joint investments are not a priority here. Each of the companies carries out a separate project on the Baltic Sea.
We want the offshore bill to be after all agreements and consultations. That’s what we’re doing today. Coordination of activities related to the entire offshore investment is certainly needed. This is a large investment, which may take up to 100 billion zlotys. I hope that the first effects of offshore investments will be visible around 2025 – says Deputy Minister of Energy Krzysztof Kubów.
