The President of ERO considered the application of Baltic Power under the so-called 1st phase of support

The President of the Energy Regulatory Office considered the application of the Baltic Power wind farm with an installed electric capacity of 1197 MW as part of the so-called 1st phase of support. It is the sixth decision issued on granting the right to negative balance coverage for electricity produced in offshore wind farms (OWF).

In the first phase of the system, support is granted by the President of the ERO and it may cover offshore wind farms with a total installed capacity of up to 5.9 GW. The next step to obtain support is the confirmation by the European Commission of compliance with the internal market of public aid granted to the producer for a given offshore project.
