The volume of electricity trading on POLPX in March 2020 was 29,372,771 MWh, which means an increase of 53.3 percent. compared to March 2019. It is also the highest monthly volume since September 2018 and the best ending of the first quarter in the history of electricity trading on POLPX (66.6 TWh compared to 45.7 TWh in 2015).
The volume-weighted average price on the Day-Ahead Market stood at 165.62 PLN / MWh in March, which means a decrease of 4.62 PLN / MWh compared to the previous month. At RTT, the weighted average price of an annual contract with bandwidth delivery in 2021 (BASE_Y-21) was PLN 227.94 / MWh in March, a decrease of PLN 17.29 / MWh from the corresponding price in February this year.
Trade in Guarantees of Origin for electricity generated in RES amounted to 2 062 830 MWh, which means a decrease by 25.9 percent. y / y.
The weighted average price was 0.96 PLN / MWh, which is a decrease of 0.05 PLN / MWh compared to February.
At the end of March this year 77 companies had the status of a member on the Commodity Market (RTG).
As at March 31, 2020, in the Register of Certificates of Origin kept by the Polish Power Exchange, 3,911 entities were members of the register.
