The volume of electricity trading on TGE in April 2020 amounted to 24 572 198 MWh, which means an increase by 35.3 percent. compared to April 2019. This is primarily the result of high turnover on the futures market, which amounted to 21,787,381 MWh (increase by 42.6%). Trading volume on the Intraday Market was 148,366 MWh, higher than in December 2019 (112,166 MWh) and also the highest in the history of this market.
The volume-weighted average price on the Day-Ahead Market was PLN 150.15 / MWh in April, a decrease of PLN 15.47 / MWh compared to the previous month. At RTT, the weighted average price of an annual contract with bandwidth delivery in 2021 amounted to PLN 225.77 / MWh in April, a decrease of PLN 2.17 / MWh compared to the corresponding price in March this year.
The volume of trade in property rights for electricity generated in renewable energy amounted to 2 202 112 MWh in April, which means a decrease by 20.6% y / y. The volume-weighted average price at RPM sessions for the PMOZE_A instrument was 126.53 PLN / MWh, which means a decrease of 16.28 PLN / MWh compared to March this year.
Trade in property rights for energy efficiency decreased by 57.1 percent in April. y / y, to level 16 374 toe. For the PMEF instrument, the volume was 10,689 toe, with a weighted average session price of 1,941.23 PLN / toe (an increase compared to March this year by 97.17 PLN / toe).
Trade in Guarantees of Origin for electricity generated in RES amounted to 1 998 229 MWh, which means an increase of 63.2 percent. y / y. The weighted average price was 0.91 PLN / MWh, which is a decrease of 0.05 PLN / MWh compared to March.
At the end of April this year 76 companies had the status of a member on the Commodity Market (RTG). In the Register of Certificates of Origin kept by the Polish Power Exchange as at 30 April 2020, there were 3920 entities in the register. Currently, 685 entities have the status of a member of the Guarantees of Origin Register.
