PGE and Tauron secured a location for a wind farm in the Baltic Sea

The Ministry of Infrastructure has awarded the first area for an offshore wind farm on Ławica Słupska. PGE Baltica 4 intends to build an installation with a capacity of approx. 990 MW. Most applicants did not meet the minimum points criterion. Out of 13 submitted applications for the 43.E.1 area, only four investors obtained the so-called qualifying minimum.

In addition to the winning PGE Baltica 4, a joint company of PGE and Tauron, the following applications were ranked next: EDF Renewable Offshore Polska, RWE (Cormano) and ENI (Polish Offshore Wind). The Ministry of Infrastructure did not disclose the number of points obtained by individual applicants.
