The response of the Ministry of Climate and Environment adressed to gramwzielone.pl show that the ministry is no longer planning to organize further auctions for renewable energy sources this year and is currently focusing on creating a long-term schedule for future auctions. On the other hand, it emphasizes the preparation of the draft amendment to the act on renewable energy sources, which is currently being processed in the Sejm. After the amendment is adopted and the state aid is notified to the European Commission, producers will be able to apply for support in auctions until the end of 2027.
This year, the ERO has conducted 8 auctions for renewable energy sources so far. Slightly over 68 TWh of electricity has been earmarked for sale, with a total value of nearly PLN 24 billion. As a result of the auction, more than 36.7 TWh (54%) of the energy volume with a total value of PLN 8.5 billion (36%) was sold.
The Energy Regulatory Office assumes that as a result of all this year’s auctions, more than 2.5 GW may be generated. new generation capacities in RES.
