The Ministry of Climate and Environment has developed a draft regulation specifying the amount of the concession fee that will be charged to operators of energy storage and offshore wind farms. The ministry emphasizes that the regulation will not change the current concession fee ratios. The concession fee factor for electricity storage is to be at the same level as for electricity generation, transmission or distribution, ie 0.0005.

In the case of offshore, the Ministry emphasizes that the obligation to pay the concession fee already covers energy companies operating in the field of generating electricity in an offshore wind farm in the current legal state.

The concession fee factors for offshore storage facilities and offshore wind farms will be specified in an annex to the regulation. The coefficient for calculating the concession fee for the activity consisting in generating electricity in offshore wind farms is to be set at PLN 23,000, which is the maximum allowed by the act.
