The Ministry of Development will commission a wind farm impact analysis

On May 28, the Ministry of Development (Department of Innovation) published an announcement regarding the possibility of submitting bids for the contract – advisory and consultancy services in determining the degree of impact of wind farms on people and the conditions for their location in the vicinity of residential buildings.

As part of the analysis to be proposed include elements of mitigation of negative impacts of wind farms on human health and ensuring safety and health of the inhabitants of the power plant surroundings, including:

a) the minimum distance of a wind farm (or their complex) from residential buildings together with justification, or the methodology for its designation,

b) an indication of legal acts and guidelines that should be amended in order to enable a proper and adequate assessment of the impact of wind farms on human health and the manner their update.

In addition, as part of the implementation of the subject of the contract, the contractor is to provide substantive support in creating by the Employer legal acts or guidelines implementing recommendations and methodologies developed under analyzes – the period of Q3 2020.
