On 29 May this year, the European Commission will present its proposal to the European Parliament and the Council. The Ministry of Energy (ME) announced that talks with the European Commission (EC) on the law protecting electricity consumers against increases in energy prices in 2019 have entered their final phase. So far, the parties have agreed to base the solution on the concept of so-called universal service, implemented by trading companies in return for adequate remuneration.
