According to the information provided by the Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment, Ireneusz Zyska, the fourth edition of the “My Electricity” program planned for 2022 is to provide a unit subsidy for home energy storage, amounting to one-fourth to half of the storage price. The Ministry is also counting on the cooperation of distribution network operators in the matter of calculations. Zyska added that they did not exclude the possibility of imposing minimum technical requirements.
The deputy minister emphasized that the most important thing is quality, because within a few years it will turn into a collective energy storage for the country.
The fourth edition of the “My Electricity” program, in addition to photovoltaics, will also include home energy and heat storage. “My Electricity” is one of the largest in Europe financing programs for photovoltaic micro-installations with a capacity of 2–10 kW for individuals generating electricity for their own needs. The program has been operating since mid-2019, and the total capacity of the installations from the submitted applications is 1.2 GW, which equates to the annual production of 1,200 GWh / year of electricity. The earlier announcements show that the first two recruitments of “My Electricity” are to contribute to the reduction of CO2 by 1,000,000,000 kg / year.
