According to information published by WindEurope, in the first half of 2019, 4. 9 GW of new wind power capacity was connected to the grid in Europe, of which less than 3 GW in onshore installations and 1. 9 GW in offshore installations.
Of all European countries, France (523 MW) and Sweden (459 MW) have connected the largest onshore capacity, while Great Britain (931 MW) has connected the largest offshore capacity.
