A meeting of the Commission for National Economy and Innovation was held on 30 July this year.
During the committee meeting, no amendments to the amendment of the Act on Biocomponents and Liquid Biofuels and some other acts were tabled.
The Act introduces, among others, the following:
- a new way of calculating the so-called National Indicative Target, including new types of fuels, and gives more time to meet the requirements of the Electromobility Act.
- levels of the National Indicative Target (NIT), i.e. the average share of biofuels in transport fuel consumption,
- inclusion of new types of fuels in the NITs (other transport fuels that have emerged as a result of technological progress),
- counting products from the co-hydrogenation process.
On 1 and 2 August this year, the 83rd meeting of the Senate of the 9th term of office is held, where the 29th point of the Act amending the Act on Biocomponents and Liquid Biofuels and certain other acts will be considered.
