The Government Legislation Center published an updated draft regulation of the Council of Ministers on the maximum amount and value of electricity from renewable energy sources that can be auctioned in 2021.
The draft in question was considered by the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers in a circular manner and adopted on 8 December 2020, now it has been referred for urgent consideration by the Legal Affairs Committee.
As part of the update, the following modifications were introduced:
- the volume for PV and wind installations above 1 MW was increased to 38,760,000 MWh with a value of PLN 10,748,400,000, which, according to the justification, will translate into 600 MW in wind and 800 MW in PV (previous version of the project: 23,790,000 MWh by worth PLN 6,873,600,000, of which 300 MW and 700 MW were to be generated, respectively);
- added volume dedicated exclusively to hybrid renewable energy installations with a total capacity below 1 MW: 394,200 MWh, with a value of PLN 242,433,000, which will translate into the creation of 5 MW according to the justification;
- added volume dedicated exclusively to hybrid renewable energy installations with a total capacity above 1 MW: 1,182,600 MWh with a value of PLN 703,647,000, which will translate into the creation of 15 MW according to the justification;
- volumes for hydropower, biogas and biomass installations were decreased;
At the same time, no volume modification is planned for the basket dedicated to PV and wind installations below 1 MW.
