The Energy Regulatory Office issued a communication in which it informs that pursuant to art. 17 clause 3 of the Act of 19 July 2019 amending the Act on renewable energy sources and certain other acts (Dz. U. z 2019 r. poz. 1524), producers whose bid won the auction decided before the entry into force of the amendment, i.e. before August 29, 2019, may change the date of sale of energy generated in a renewable energy source installation for the first time, specifying this date in accordance with the amended, current wording of Art. 79 paragraph 3 point 8 lit. and the RES Act.

Investors building solar farms, for which support was secured in the auction conducted in 2018, will have time to start selling energy not until May 15, 2020, as previously predicted, but until November 15, 2020.

For wind investors whose offers won last year’s auction for projects with a capacity of over 1 MW, the time to launch sales will be extended from May 5, 2021 to August 5, 2021.

The Energy Regulatory Office emphasizes that in order to take advantage of the extension of the deadline to start selling energy in the auction system, it is necessary to inform the Office. A model statement is available on the ERO website.
