October 16 this year The Sejm adopted amendments to the Act amending the Act – Environmental Protection Law and some other acts, to which regulations providing for a reduction in VAT on the assembly of renewable energy micro installations on backyard land and outbuildings were added.
The new regulations mean that owners of single-family residential buildings with an area of up to 300 m2 will be able to make a solar installation or heat pump taxed 8% VAT. – not only on the home roof, but also anywhere on your property, as long as this installation will be functionally connected with a single-family house.
In addition to the provisions regarding a lower VAT rate for domestic renewable energy installations, the act aims to eliminate solid fuel furnaces that do not meet emission standards.
Act was sent for signature by the President of the Republic of Poland and will enter into force 14 days after being announced.
