The latest issue of the quarterly issue of the Energy Regulatory Office contains the Report on the activities of the President of the Energy Regulatory Office in 2018, which is a detailed summary of the work carried out by the regulator last year.
The report is divided into sections detailing the activities undertaken by the ERO President at both national and international level. The first part presents, among others, the statutory duties of the President of the Energy Regulatory Office, organisation and functioning of the office, judicial control over the activities of the regulator and the results of the control to which the activities of the President of the Energy Regulatory Office were subject in 2018. The second part is a description of actions taken by the regulator in the international arena and related to the REMIT regulation. The following parts of the document present regulatory actions in particular sub-sectors of the energy sector: electricity, gas, heating and liquid fuels. The following sections are devoted, among others, to control activities conducted by the Office, price indices set by the regulator, dispute resolution, and issues related to strengthening the position of fuel and energy consumers. Separate parts of the publication are also devoted to the RES support system and an attempt to assess the most important problems of the sector together with a proposal to take action aimed at efficient and correct implementation of the Polish energy policy.
