On 12 June this year, the Sejm held the first reading of the Government bill on the amendment of the Act on the greenhouse gas emission allowance trading scheme and certain other acts.
The draft concerns adding definitions and detailing the provisions so that their interpretation would not raise any doubts, adjusting the deadlines provided for in the aforementioned Act to the prevailing realities, increasing the support of the minister in charge of the environment by supervised units, adjusting information obligations and the flow of information between operators and authorities, as well as between the authorities themselves.
The project aims to implement European Union law.
