Deputy Minister Tobiszowski took part in the meeting of the council of the Katowice congress. He speaks to journalists: „Minister Tchórzewski will make every effort to submit this document – and then we would have a great opportunity to publicly present a government document which, for the first time in 10 years, targets investments in the energy sector, renewable energy relations, photovoltaics and the role of coal, gas-based energy, as we see nuclear energy, as well as how we want to secure the increase in demand for energy and what we will shut down from the system”.

The key element of PEP – the Deputy Minister recognised the development of the distribution network and prosumer energy. Asked about the scale of the changes to the draft following the consultation, he stated that they were not significant, given certain constant factors.

In the PEP project presented in November, it was assumed, among other things, that in 2030, the following projects will be implemented 60% of the energy generated in Poland will still come from coal, while maintaining the annual consumption of this raw material at the current level. By 2040, the share of coal in electricity generation is expected to fall below 30%.

Renewable sources, especially photovoltaics and offshore, would play in the mix to extinguish the crop. Wind turbines on land would be limited. In 2033 an atom would appear (the first block with a power of about 1-1. 5 GW). In the years 2033-2039, four nuclear power units with a total capacity of approx. 4-6 GW would be built, two more in 2041 and 2043. The total investment outlays in the manufacturing sector in the years 2021-2040 were assumed at approx. 400 billion PLN.
