From the draft amendment to the Energy Law and the Act on Renewable Energy Sources (UC74), prepared by the Ministry of Climate and Environment at the beginning of June 2021, the provisions that were to allow the creation of direct power lines connecting industrial recipients with electricity producers, bypassing transmission networks, were removed in recent months.
The government’s plenipotentiary for renewable energy sources, Ireneusz Zyska, ensures, however, that such regulations will be introduced into Polish law.
– At the moment there is already a political decision at the management level that they will be introduced back into the law – assured the government plenipotentiary for RES. – There is only the question of their shape, because we cannot say that the direct line does not apply to the power system.
