The Senate’s Legislative Bureau submitted a number of bills to amend the RES Act

Work has started in the Senate on an amendment to the RES Act, which will change the way prosumers are settled. They focus on modifying the settlement rules adopted by the Sejm to make them more favorable and more transparent for prosumers. The debate on the amendment to the RES Act, which is being processed in the parliament, mainly concerns the new rules for prosumers’ settlements, which are to enter into force on April 1, 2022.

The Legislative Bureau of the Senate submitted a number of comments to the amendment to the RES Act, which included the lack of public consultations, opinions and thoroughly prepared justification for the act, which was only half a page long. In addition, the Senate lawyer referred to the rapid pace of proceeding in the Sejm of new provisions for prosumers. As he emphasized, the mode of work should not adversely affect the quality of the adopted provisions.
