Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne S.A., as the Energy Market Information Operator (OIRE), will launch a modern information base in three years, which will cover all entities operating on the electricity market. The future IT center will be called the “Central Energy Market Information System” (CSIRE) and will be used to collect and store in one place, among others technical data, commercial energy consumption points, as well as electricity measurement results.
Thanks to the implementation of this system, consumers on the electricity market will have free access to their current and historical data, e.g. those concerning existing contracts related to electricity supply, the selected energy supplier, as well as the amount of electricity consumed or produced. In addition, CSIRE will accelerate the supplier switching process, which will be shortened from the current 21 days to 1 day.
The tender procedure for the selection of the system contractor has already started. During the next 30 months, energy market entities, i.e. energy sellers and distribution system operators are obliged to provide OIRE with information on measuring points that are necessary for the initial configuration of CSIRE, and within 33 months they must conclude with PSE S.A. contracts for the use of CSIRE.
